I love this game in its polish and aesthetic, and had about an hour of fun playing it.
Constructive critisism:
1. I'm not sure many people or anyone would restart their whole game when it lasts as long as it does, and so won't really be able to play around with strategies for purchases to make as they only have one run of the game. This means they'll probably make bad purchases and have to stick to them the whole time they're playing, which doesn't feel great.
2. The purchases are too expensive, and most people would only buy a couple. People aren't going to stick around too long on a flash game, so let them access most of the content in an hour.
3. There is slight glitchy behavior when mushing lots of octopuses together in a small space.

Interesting game. Regarding the game art, I don't like the imperfectly scaled pixel art graphics where one pixel on the sprite doesn't correspond with a constant number of pixels on the final graphic. Some pixels are flattened, some are stretched. Also, seperately, some graphics are more heavily pixelated than others. You've also mixed pixel art graphics with smooth ones which breaks the retro style. The actual pixel art sprites themselves are wonderful but are slightly ruined by this all.

The amount of clicking needs to be reduced a bit. You could have it so you have to just click one tile per unit per turn, i.e. the one for it to end up at.
